Handy Photo Tip #1

Know when to fill the frame.

Unless the background is important to the image, fill the frame with your subject for more captivating pictures of your family. Get right in there and shoot a close-up!

Of course, sometimes the background IS important. So if you are documenting a stage of life or an event - for instance, your child at the zoo or on her graduation day - be sure to get enough background to tell the story.

A nice mixture of close-ups and documentation images will round out your family albums nicely.
