Ohhh, how I love the sweet autumn light. I love capturing the beauty of childhood. I love the ease of their smiles and how they show true emotion without abandon. And I love when it all happens in one session. I hope you are all enjoying this sweet and fleeting time of autumn.

Here is the long awaited sneak peek for the "M" family! They boys were sooo cute and totally into doing their boy things that day. We chased squirrels and threw rocks in to the creek. But in between all that boy stuff, we still managed to get some great portraits.

Holiday Cards

Wooo! I finally got all of the holiday cards up and ready for you to see! I know the holidays seem like a long way out, but they will be here before you know it! In order for you to have your cards in hand by Dec. 15th, you will need to place your order by Dec. 1st.

There is a design for everyone's tastes. From simple elegance to whimsical. I'm posting just a sampling of them here. Blog Contest Part 1, Jan - July 2007

Welcome to the Life as Art Blog Contest! As you can see, I'm a little behind on posting this contest, so I will be dividing up the year to allow for fairness. Here is how it works! I will post one image per regular session on the contest. You vote for your favorites and the winners cash in. Cha-ching! It's just that easy!

• The TWO (2) images with the most votes will win a $50 gift certificate to spend anyway you like!
• Vote for your favorite image from Jan - July 2007 by emailing me the image number. Just put the word "Vote" and the image number in the subject line.
• Only one vote per email address will count.
• Voting ends on Friday October 19, 2007 at noon.
• Winning images will be announced on Friday before 5pm

Voting for sessions from Aug - Oct will take place the first week of November. Then the contest will take place either once per month or every other month depending on how much of a slacker I'm being.

Brotherly Love

Little boys melt my heart. I wasn't sure that was possible until I had my own. H and my Jack are the same age and into the same things and even give the exact same "cheese" smile. H loves Thomas and tractors and airplanes and cheerios too. He really was soooo good! I know MY 2 year old wouldn't have put up with a 2 hour session! He wanted to stay and play with me when the session was all over, so I guess he still likes me.

I really wanted to post the whole session, but that wouldn't be much of a sneak peek now would it . :) Trust me, you'll be blown away. The sibling images may bring tears to your eyes, so stock up on Kleenex before I come over.

Radiant Beauty - Part 2

Remember my friends C&C? They came into the studio this week, only this time letting their soon-to-be baby sister and their gorgeous mom take center stage! I think we all know where C&C's "radiant beauty" comes from now. And to think "J" thinks she unphotogenic.... That's just silly my friend! I can only imagine how utterly gorgeous this baby will be... I guess we'll just have to be patient and wait for her!

We will be having a full day of mini sessions on Saturday October 20th! This is a great opportunity to get that perfect holiday card shot.

Schedule a Creative Cards Session with me and we will work together to come up with the coolest, hippest, snazziest holiday card you can think of! Your session will be based on 1 or 2 themes that you and I will orchestrate together. Don't worry... I have LOTS of cool ideas, but they are soooooo super secret you will have to call me to find out what they are. I will only allow one theme to be used in each town/city surrounding me, so you don't have to worry about all your friends having the same cool cards as you.

Creative Card Sessions start at $350 and include 150 custom designed 5x7 cards and a never before offered discount on wall portraits.
